STSE
State Science Talent Search Examination or STSE is known to be a renowned state-level exam organized by RBSE i.e the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education every year. STSE is organized to find academically meritorious students in Rajasthan and to support them by helping to develop better and needful skills in the science domain/stream. The STSE exam is conducted every year annually within the Rajasthan state and 10th and 12th standard students participate actively in this exam.
Through this exam, the students of RBSE affiliated Schools & other Govt Schools who get successfully selected in the exam become eligible to be awarded with different scholarships as per the latest criteria. Usually, the scholarship distribution stays like this... 50-50 students who have secured a minimum of 80% are given the scholarships. Class 11th and 12th students who are selected in STSE are awarded with an amount of around Rs 1,250 per month while Under Graduate and Postgraduate students are awarded with a scholarship of about Rs 2,000 per month.

Appreciation Amount
Students who will be shortlisted in STSE on the basis of the final merit list will be granted with a scholarship as part of the appreciation amount. More details of the scholarship amount is given below.
• The selected candidate who will score 1st position among the top 20 students in class 10th and 12th will be rewarded with Rs. 4000 and rest of the selected 19 students for both the classes i.e 10th and 12th will be rewarded with an appreciation amount Rs. 2000.
• Moreover as per the criteria, selected candidates who will score more than 90% mark in STSE will get the Scholar Certificate and the candidates who have scored marks within the range of 80% to 90% will be getting a Distinction Certificate.
Tentative exam Dates
STSE exam is usually planned in the months of November-December every year (Dates are subject to change because of the COVID -19 pandemic). Students can check the official STSE portal and are required to stay connected with their teachers who will update them with the exact planned dates.
STSE Eligibility Criteria
• Students who are studying in Class 10th or 12th are eligible to apply for STSE.
• Applying candidates must belong to an RBSE affiliated school or state-recognized board in Rajasthan.
• For academic eligibility criteria, applying candidates must have completed class 9th or 11th with a minimum score of 50%.
Exam Pattern for STSE
The exam pattern for STSE is as follows:
• Types of Questions: Objective type questions will be asked
• Negative Marking: No negative marking
• Language of Question Paper: Hindi and English both

Paper-3 which is the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) section for science stream is further divided into 4 i.e parts, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 20 questions will be asked from Biology and Mathematics while 25 questions will be asked from Physics and Chemistry both the subjects each.
Syllabus for STSE
The syllabus for STSE remains under the syllabus that is followed in RBSE schools. Applicants are required to know that the question paper for 10th and 12th standards will cover topics from class 9th and 10th and topics of class 11th and 12th.
STSE Admit Card and where to download
The notification for the issuance of admit cards for STSE will be released by the Directorate of Education, Science Branch, Delhi. Students can download the admit card from the official website (http://rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in/). Candidates are strictly required to carry their Admit cards to the exam centre as it is required for verification purposes at the exam centre.
